MAZ-5337 is a universal truck chassis with a 4x2 wheel arrangement, mass-produced by the Minsk Automobile Plant since 1987.
It is one of the “long-livers” of the domestic automobile industry: modifications of the MAZ-533702 and MAZ-5337A2 chassis are still included in the plant’s production program and the price list of its official dealers. The secret of long life lies, above all, in the extreme versatility of this chassis. and also in the simplicity of design, reliability and unpretentiousness of the car itself. And, of course, at a very reasonable price for this, in all respects, a long-outdated example of the Soviet automobile industry. Compact dimensions for a vehicle of similar carrying capacity, maneuverability, and low operating costs allow the MAZ-5337 to be used effectively and with high profitability in almost all sectors of the national economy. On paved roads this truck is truly versatile. It is designed for transporting any cargo in urban conditions and on intercity routes. It can be used either independently or as part of a road train. True, this model is of little use for unpaved roads due to its axial load.

City utility companies operate garbage trucks and various types of municipal equipment on the MAZ-5337 chassis. Device
The tank with which this variation of special equipment is equipped has a special marker and a breathing valve. The first is installed to show the level of fuel transported inside the container. The presence of a breathing valve eliminates the risk of excess pressure. Drain pipes are connected to the tank. They are equipped with quick-acting valves and special settling tanks with a water separating system.
Provided that the volume of the tank exceeds 5000 liters, the tank is additionally equipped with breakwaters located perpendicularly and longitudinally relative to the hull. The presence of these elements ensures a reduction in hydraulic shocks during liquid transportation.
The internal space of the tank can be divided into two sections. Two-section tanks can transport different types of fuel or gasoline with different octane numbers.
The MAZ chassis is produced using various wheel formulas. Already in the basic configuration, fuel tankers are equipped with spring and air suspension.

The body of the MAZ-5337 onboard vehicle is a metal platform with opening side and rear sides. The side board consists of two parts. The flooring of the loading platform is wooden. The main trailer for trucks of this model is MAZ-8926.
The KI 5426-11 van is made of sandwich panels, the outer skin is made of painted steel or aluminum sheet; internal lining: painted steel or aluminum sheet. The floor covering is made of corrugated aluminum sheets, treated with polyurethane filling. The rear doorway is made of painted steel or stainless steel. The fittings are all painted.

Electrical system characteristics
The power supply in the MAZ 5337 car is organized according to a single-wire circuit. Using the G-273V generator, a voltage of 24 V is created. The operation of the generator is controlled by a built-in voltage regulator. The starter type ST103-A-0, which starts the engine, is powered by two series-connected lead-acid batteries 6-ST-182EM.

- MKDS-3410 is a combined road machine that includes watering equipment, a universal plastic tank, a rotating sectional blade, a snow brush and a road reagent distributor;

- G6-OPA-7.5 – tank truck for transporting food liquids (water, milk, wine, alcohol-containing liquids, etc.). The lifting organ itself consists of two parts: a fixed one, hinged to the support, and a movable section, which can be pulled out. Two hydraulic cylinders connected to each other using a coupling are responsible for extending the second section.

KS-3577 is a lifting system that operates hydraulically. The working bodies are driven by a hydraulic pump, which itself is connected through a box to the power take-off shaft of the vehicle. The crane operator can use a special lever in the cabin to disconnect the pump from the drive.

The unit is made on the basis of a hydraulic motor, which is connected to a two-stage gearbox. There is also a shoe type brake and a hydraulic release. The output part of the gearbox has a gear on the shaft. The latter engages with the turning-support circle via a gear ring. The high-pressure fuel pump in the YaMZ-236M2-1 is a 6-section, spool-type with a low-pressure fuel priming pump, a fuel injection advance clutch and an all-mode speed controller. The engines are equipped with an electric torch device (EFD) and, as an additional option, a PZD-30 pre-heater.
The car accelerates to a maximum speed of 85 km/h provided by the manufacturer. Acceleration time to “cruising” speed of 60 km/h is about 50 seconds. For 100 km of travel at a speed of 60 km/h, a MAZ-5337 vehicle consumes about 20-22 liters of diesel fuel.

Two-section telescopic

In 1977, in step with global progress, production of the new MAZ-5334 truck began. The model was developed on the basis of the MAZ-5335. As always, the need for freight transportation increased in the rapidly growing republics of the Soviet Union. Along with this, the requirements for transporters also grew.
