  8. The covering of the cabin and other elements of this truck is not of high quality. The paint on the sides and side underrun bars wears off quite quickly.   • I have a Maz 4370 with a mileage of 143 thousand km, the car was purchased in Chelyabinsk in maintained but in good condition. The 150-horsepower Euro 3 diesel does not suffer from overheating or starting problems. The fuel equipment is in order. Real consumption is no more than 20 liters per 100 km - a very good result for a budget car with a payload capacity of 5-6 tons. The “Zubrenok” hardly heats up, so it doesn’t reach a critical temperature. But this feature turns into a disadvantage in winter, when it is very cold in the cabin. As a result, an additional heater was needed. At the 6th thousand, the turbine was replaced under warranty, and now there are no complaints about it. At the 50th thousand the starter retractor broke. Unfortunately, there is no exhaust brake, and there is also no pre-heater, which I installed additionally. It is better not to overload the chassis of the Zubrenok, because otherwise there is a high probability of breaking the spring, which costs 5 thousand rubles or more. The suspension is soft and energy-intensive, with large strokes. It’s comfortable to drive over potholes and gullies, but you shouldn’t venture into muddy ground. In the future I plan to sell and buy a used “Japanese”, it is more reliable.
  • I work on a 2007 MAZ 4370. My car is equipped with a 150-horsepower engine that pulls well from low revs, but at the same time, does not like high revs - in other words, there is no point in driving to the red zone, because in this case increased noise and vibrations arise, and fuel consumption also increases. The sound of the engine was like that of a tractor during the USSR, and remains so - well, they don’t want to modernize anything since post-Soviet times!! The car easily carries 4 tons, although some manage to drag 7 tons, but in this case the life of the springs, which are not designed for such loads, is significantly reduced. This applies to both front and rear springs. It is recommended to lay the flooring from boards 30 mm thick in order to somehow “soften” the load when driving over uneven surfaces. I was pleased with the spacious cabin, although from the outside it looks small and compressed (in profile). But in fact it's comfortable inside. Due to the huge number of wires, the electrician is periodically capricious, especially in winter. The braking system is quite effective, as it is clearly borrowed from the heavier Maz. There are no problems with taxiing, provided that the tires are imported. Native Belarusian has a resource of no more than 30 thousand km. The head optics shine normally, but installing foglights won’t hurt in any case. The engine is located in such a way that getting close to it is quite a task. The wheel arches (or plastic fenders) get in the way.
  • I have two MAZ 4370 on my farm - 2008 and 2010. The first one has a mileage of 150 thousand km. Of course, the car went through the first tens of kilometers without any problems, but after 100 thousand km the engine began to act up - perhaps it’s a matter of overload, since you have to carry 6-7 tons when the rated 5 tons. The springs also need to be changed. Regarding the engine, it would have been good to start with diagnostics, but neither one nor the other dealer wanted to carry it out. In short, one was found and still found the cause of the problem - supposedly the fuel filter was to blame. They replaced it, but the problem persisted. After 5 thousand km, antifreeze appeared on the block, which was immediately reported to the seller. We came to the conclusion that it was all about a microcrack, which could have been eliminated if I had gone to a service station at the 4th thousand mileage. In short, the crack continued to grow, and in the meantime we were negotiating with the plant - in the end, he agreed to take the block for examination. It turned out that this was a manufacturing defect and the unit was replaced for free. And yet, we will not purchase such machines again. Most likely, you will have to take used Korean trucks.
  • I have a Maz 4370 with a Euro-2 engine. The D245 30 e2 engine does not work without its whims, especially after 80 thousand km. Now there are 180 thousand km on the odometer. Breakdowns occur constantly. Regarding consumption, it is 13 liters per 100 km at a speed of 70 km/h. For 930 kilometers of route, 120 liters are needed, provided that the car is loaded with 3 tons. But this is a minimum, since it still depends on the operating conditions, the number of sudden starts and possible slipping, if there is poor traction on a snowy or icy road, as well as on rough terrain. Based on this, in the worst case, the car consumes 20 liters when loaded, as well as 16 liters when empty. Over time, the load becomes harder to pull, and you can feel it. To maintain the factory load capacity, it is necessary to remake the springs according to the Zil scheme - that is, an additional spring on top of the main one, otherwise the standard springs will not last long with overload. The cabin does not warm up well due to a weak heater and a cold engine. But in the summer the engine does not overheat! In short, I solved the problem in winter by installing an autonomous heater. Poor painting of the cabin is the reason for the rapid appearance of corrosion, which cannot be completely eliminated. But fortunately, the car has long since paid for itself and brings in a stable income. Therefore, even if there are unscheduled malfunctions, I still remain profitable.
  • The Maz 4370 has a lot to praise for. I have three cars of this model. In 2010, I purchased a version with a German engine and transmission. The machine is designed for a carrying capacity of 4.5 tons with a total weight of 11 tons, which can be considered a big plus taking into account the Plato payment system. At the moment, each car has a mileage of about 700 thousand km. We have traveled so much in nine years, and during this time we can draw certain conclusions. The reliability of the cars is good - at least the engine and transmission have never broken down in a major way. Well, except that one truck had to replace the sprayer. On another car I replaced the radiator of the cooling system. At 50 thousand km you need to undergo scheduled maintenance, and during this period of time you should fill in Lukoil oil designed for 25 thousand km - it turns out to be five times cheaper than the oil recommended by the factory. It was necessary to replace the springs, about 15 sheets. The mufflers on all three cars were replaced; one Mazu still needed a new air filter (its housing was rotten). The volume of the tent body is 35 cubic meters. just in time for our purposes. The car consumes 20 liters per 100 km.
  • I use Maz 4370 for urban cargo transportation. The car carries 5 tons without straining. The cabin is spacious, there is even a sleeping place. A hairdryer and Webasto are installed from the factory. In winter, it’s quite warm and cozy, there’s no particular discomfort, but you don’t have to open the windows either - in general, it’s neither cold nor hot. In 2022, the hair dryer and Webasto were replaced (the standard ones lasted six years, which is approximately how long the machine has been in use). The contacts of the sockets for connecting a trailer quickly rot, so electrics are not the best side of the Maz. The electronic pedal was replaced, and the generator was also rebuilt (its current collector was replaced). The windshield was installed incorrectly, which caused water to enter directly into the ECU. The problem was solved by drying, and we also managed to restore the tracks in the boards. If necessary, you can look into the service, where you can read the ECU using the factory firmware. The weak point of iron is, of course, corrosion, as well as the windshield frame and hood cover - all of this needs to be replaced. The tailgates are made of aluminum, we repaired them. The car consumes 17 liters on the highway with a 35 cc trailer. Based on this, in terms of performance, my Maz will give a head start to many more expensive foreign cars. In general, the Maz 4370 is a noteworthy medium-duty truck among domestic cars. It is nimble and predictable in handling, suitable for delivering cargo to hard-to-reach places. There is also a full-size berth that only folds out when the seats are down. In this case, the car turns into a single-seater.
