There is a tractor configuration with an intermediate track of 2080 mm, with a track shoe width of 690 mm.

Frame hexagonal cabin

The cabin is made with a removable fiberglass roof and glued double-glazed windows with improved noise-heat-vibration-insulating properties. Two pantograph-type windshield wipers on the doors and two on the front and rear windows. Place for installing a radiophone with speakers and built-in drawers for storing the operator’s personal belongings. The instrument panel is made in the form of a sealed monopanel with arrow indicators and lamp indicators.

There is a standard place for installing an air conditioner in the rear of the roof. There is a ventilation and evacuation hatch in the upper part of the cabin. The cab, workstation and ROPS tilt back 35 degrees. using a manual hydraulic lift.

Features of the B-11 bulldozer

Hydraulic system

The hydraulic system of the B-11 bulldozer is separate and modular. A gear-type hydraulic pump, model NSh-100A-3L, is installed. The hydraulic pump capacity is 180 liters per minute (at a speed of 1800 rpm and a working pressure in the system of 20 MPa)

The torque converter unit (for modification with the YaMZ-236N3 engine) is equipped with a gearbox for hydraulic pump drives of attachments and transmission control.

The hydraulic distributor is installed with a 3-way spool valve, 4-position, type R-160. A full-flow filter is mounted on the drainage route with filter elements providing a cleaning fineness of 25 microns.

The dimensions of the hydraulic cylinders are as follows: blade lift diameter 100 mm / rod stroke 1250 mm; blade misalignment diameter 160 mm / rod stroke 200 mm; ripper diameter 160 mm / rod stroke 450 mm.

Mounted implements

The manufacturer has provided the possibility of expanding the functionality of the equipment through the use of additional working tools. They are needed for the effective use of bulldozers on construction sites, the logging industry, and other areas of the national economy.

In addition to blades and a ripper, the following can be mounted on the tracked chassis:

1. Plow. It is used when organizing firebreaks in fields, meadows, and forests. In addition, it is possible to prepare the soil for planting trees.
2. Rooter. The mechanism is used to remove stumps, large stones from the ground, cut out bushes, and young trees.
3. Chopper. The equipment allows processing timber with a diameter of no more than 25 cm to the size of small chips.

The car can be equipped with grilles for rear windows. Such equipment is in demand in the forestry version of the device in order to protect the cabin from damage by branches.

Tractor running system

The tractor chassis bogie has a 3-point suspension with a micro-sprung balance beam and a sealed track joint. The working life of the chassis system is increased thanks to the use of track rollers with plain bearings and Duo Cone self-clamping seals, with fluorosilicone rubber O-rings and metal rings - which ensure the operation of the track rollers without leaking engine oil.

A modular planetary final drive and final clutches with metal-ceramic discs increase the reliability of the tractor when operating with increased traction.

The track rollers with plain bearings are made according to a proven classical design, which involves the use of bronze as an antifriction material.

The drive wheel segments are attached to the wheel hub with bolts and are made by stamping with thermal improvement and hardening of the working surfaces. This ensures ease of replacement and long service life.

The track shoe is made of steel with high physical and mechanical properties and fastened with special bolts.

Number of track rollers – 6 pieces; number of supporting rollers – 2 pieces. The tractor wheelbase is 2880 mm. Track width – 50 or 69 cm. Track width – 1880 or 2080 mm. The minimum ground clearance is 435 mm. The maximum steepness overcome by the B-11 bulldozer (ascent/descent): 30 degrees. The ford depth is 750 mm.

The specific ground pressure of the tractor in the basic version is only 0.055 MPa. The operating weight of the T11.5000 tractor is 15,700 kg; tractor T11.6000 – 15,760 kg; complete bulldozer – up to 21 tons (depending on the type of attachment used).

While on the T10 tractors the balancing beam or spring rested freely on the track bogies, on the T11 and T14 series tractors the balancing beam began to be hingedly connected to the bogies, linking them into a single system. This increased the reliability of the components, as well as the swing axes of the bogies.

Pumping the carts relative to the axles removed from the final drive area eliminated the transfer of loads from attachments to them when digging and moving soil, and increased the reliability of these key transmission units. Onboard gearboxes, made in the form of an independent unit (module), make it possible to install it entirely on the tractor. These are two-stage mechanisms, the 1st stage of which is a cylindrical pair of gears, and the second is a planetary gear set.

The gear ratio of the final drives, increased to 19.63, made it possible to ensure an increase in traction while simultaneously reducing the loads acting on all elements of the power transmission. Including - on side clutches and brakes, on bevel gears, etc.

Rollers of an updated design, with plain bearings, began to withstand more significant loads. Bronze, used as an antifriction material, increased the reliability and service life of bearings and seals. The new seal ensured that the track rollers operated until they were completely worn out without the need for lubrication when operating in a variety of ground conditions.

The overall service life of the tracks was also increased compared to those previously produced by ChTZ. The tracks on this bulldozer are installed with a lubricated hinge and an original seal, which guarantees a reduction in friction losses during their operation. The caterpillar links are subjected to volumetric hardening, and the running track of the link is heat-treated with high-frequency electric currents. The track shoe is made of steel with high physical and mechanical properties and is secured with special bolts.

Nuances of operation, advantages of the model

The bulldozer is used for layer-by-layer digging and soil excavation. It can move the cut material in front of itself over short distances.

The low weight of the machine does not allow it to work with dense, frozen soils. However, working with category IV soil is possible with preliminary loosening with an appropriate mounted implement.

The manufacturer has provided for the possibility of operation in difficult climatic conditions, with high humidity and dust. Various modifications allow the machine to be used in almost all regions of the country and abroad.

Transmission of bulldozer B-11

The B-11 bulldozer is equipped with a hydromechanical transmission with a 3-wheel single-stage torque converter and a 3-speed planetary reversible gearbox.

The final drive is two-stage, with spur gears and a planetary gear set in the second stage, with a total gear ratio of 19.63.

The drive wheel has replaceable toothed segments and a splined end mounting to the hub.

The hydraulic transmission system is adapted for installation of Stauf diagnostic equipment. All diagnostic points are located on one panel - in the rear (aft) part of the tractor.

The hydromechanical transmission ensures automatic control of movement speed, depending on the existing external loads; gear shifting without interrupting the power flow and rapid reverse, as well as reducing dynamic loads in the power transmission.

The speed of movement of the tractor, in the absence of slipping, is:

• 1st gear: 3.88 km/h forward and 4.83 km/h reverse;
• 2nd gear: 6.90 km/h forward and 8.56 km/h reverse;
• 3rd gear: 10.86 km/h forward and 13.48 km/h reverse.

The turning mechanisms are permanently closed side clutches with metal-ceramic discs and band brakes with high wear resistance.

Bulldozer and loosening equipment

B-11 are equipped with bulldozer blades:

B-11 bulldozer engines

The T11.5000 tractor model is equipped with a Chinese Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel engine; T11.6000 – Yaroslavl engine YaMZ-236N-3; T11.8000 - Chinese Weichai WD10G178E25 diesel engine and Chinese Shantui hydromechanical transmission.

The operating power of the Cummins engine is 184 kW / 250 hp. The Cummins QSB 6.7 is an in-line six-cylinder diesel engine equipped with a Common Rail electronic injection system and turbocharging.

• Engine displacement is 6.7 liters.
• Cylinder diameter – 107 mm, piston stroke – 124 mm.
• Overall engine dimensions: total length – 1264 mm (cylinder block length 748 mm; width – 911 mm; height – 857 mm.

The operating power of the YaMZ-236N-3 engine is 230 hp. / 169.17 kW, at a speed of 2100 rpm.

This is also a six-cylinder diesel engine, but not with an in-line, but with a V-shaped cylinder arrangement - four-stroke, with direct diesel fuel injection, turbocharging and liquid cooling.

Fuel supply system: split type, manufactured by YAZDA (Yaroslavl Diesel Equipment Plant). The high-pressure fuel pump is six-section, plunger (in-line 604.5). The speed controller is centrifugal, all-mode. The fuel priming pump is a piston pump with a manual pump for pumping diesel fuel.

Cooling system: liquid, closed, with forced circulation of coolant, equipped with a thermostatic device to automatically maintain the thermal regime of the motor. The water pump is centrifugal, belt driven. Liquid-oil heat exchanger - plate or tubular type. The alternating current generator is equipped with a V-belt drive with a voltage of 28 Volts. The starting device is an electric starter, with a rated voltage of 24 Volts.

• The displacement of the YaMZ-236N-3 engine is 11.15 liters.
• Cylinder diameter – 130 mm, piston stroke – 140 mm.
• Maximum torque (gross) – 882 N·m (90 kgf·m), at a speed of 1200-1400 rpm.

Weichai WD10G178E25 is a four-stroke six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, turbocharged and liquid cooled. Its working volume is 9.726 liters, the operating power is 131 kW / 178 hp, at a nominal speed of 1850 rpm. The highest torque is 830 Nm, at 1100-1200 rpm. Cylinder diameter – 126 mm, piston stroke – 130 mm. The minimum diesel fuel consumption is 210 g/kWh. The net weight of this engine is 940 kg; gross weight – 1100 kg.
